Cancelling and the 30-day grace window
Cancelling a Turtini org starts a 30-day countdown. During that window everything reads exactly the same as before — your domain still resolves, public pages still serve, every record is still queryable, and you can still export a full JSON snapshot. New writes are blocked, just like in pause mode, so the data is frozen as you left it.
How to cancel:
1. Account → Subscription Status (Usage tab)
2. Click "Cancel billing"
3. A red banner appears at the top of every page: "Canceling — N days left until your data is hidden. Restart billing or download all data."
What happens during the 30 days:
• Reads work as normal (you, your team, public visitors)
• Writes are blocked
• A daily count of days remaining shows on the lifecycle banner
• You can change your mind at any time — click "Restart billing" and the cancel goes away with no fee
• You can run "Export org data" once or multiple times to grab a full snapshot before the window closes
What happens at day 30 (soft-purge):
The org becomes hidden — admins no longer see it in their org list, public-facing pages stop resolving. The data is still on Turtini servers and Support can restore it back to active for the next 365 days if you reach out.
What happens at day 365 + 30 (hard-purge):
After a year in the soft-purged state, every Firestore record and Storage file under the org is permanently deleted. This is irreversible.
Restarting at any point:
Through soft-purge (the first 30 days) you can restart yourself from Account → Subscription Status. Through the 365-day recovery window, contact [email protected] — we'll restore the org and you can resume billing from there.
