Turtini

Build a language deck from your own records

Languages builds your vocabulary from what you already keep on Turtini — your menu items, your work orders, your recipes, your grocery list — so the first words you learn are the ones you will meet again this week.

To build a deck:
1. Open Languages (/me/languages) and pick Spanish, French, or German at the top.
2. Go to the Your words tab and press Find my words.
3. Turtini reads your records and proposes the vocabulary it found inside them. Each word shows where it came from — "your menu: 24 hour herb brined pork ribeye" — so you can see why it is there.
4. Uncheck anything that is not worth learning. Nothing is saved until you press Add.
5. Press Add to save the words you kept.

The confirm step is deliberate. Finding words inside your own records is guesswork in places — a brand name can look like an ordinary noun — so you get the final say, and a word you do not want costs one unchecked box.

If you get an empty result, that is usually correct rather than broken: it means there is not much prose in your records yet. It works best once you have real content like a menu or a set of work orders.
