Insurance marketplace — shop and bind a policy

The Insurance marketplace at /me/insurance lets you compare offers across carriers and bind a policy in a tap — with one rule that never changes: sharing your data here can only lower your premium, never raise it.

The page has three tabs:
• Shop — browse live offers from carriers on the platform. Open any offer to see the quote.
• My policies — your active and past policies, with the controls to manage each.
• Carrier reads — a log of every time a carrier looked at your policy.

Bind a policy:
• On Shop, open an offer. You'll see its baseline rate — the most you'll ever pay — and a list of optional signals you can share, each showing exactly how many dollars it takes off your monthly premium.
• Turn on the signals you're comfortable sharing, watch the premium drop, and tap to bind. That's it.

Why it's different:
• Every policy carries an immutable baseline. Sharing data discounts from there; it can never push you above baseline. See "How sharing data lowers your premium" for the full mechanics.
