Implementation projects (post-sale)
Implementations tracks the post-sale work to get a customer live on your product or service — onboarding tasks, milestones, kickoff calls, training, integrations, go-live cutover. Each implementation links to a closed-won opportunity + the account it serves.
To start an implementation:
1. From a closed-won opportunity → "+ Implementation" (or /implementations → + New)
2. Pick an implementation template (e.g., "Standard SaaS 30-day onboarding", "Federal GSA SmartPay 90-day rollout"). Templates pre-populate milestones + tasks.
3. Assign owners on each task; set due dates relative to kickoff
Tracking:
The implementation board shows tasks grouped by phase + owner. The customer-facing view (shareable URL or Builder block) shows their progress without internal-only fields. Slipped tasks ping the implementation owner.
Hand-off to ongoing operations:
On go-live, the implementation closes + the customer is officially "live"; future work flows through the regular account timeline (no longer implementation-specific). Closing an implementation auto-prompts a customer-success ping for the relationship-renewal cadence.
