Board e-voting and motions

Governance is a module any organization with a board can turn on — nonprofit, for-profit, co-op, or HOA. It runs recorded board votes at /board so decisions are documented, not remembered.

Turning it on:
• Enable the Governance module in the Marketplace. It adds the /board page to your nav.

Running a vote:
1. Go to /board and click to create a motion — the question the board will decide.
2. Board members cast a recorded vote: aye, nay, abstain, or recuse. Each vote is attributed and time-stamped.
3. If the motion is tied to a board meeting, votes auto-record into that meeting's minutes as they're cast, so the minutes write themselves.
4. Close the motion when voting is done. Turtini records the outcome — passed, failed, or tied — based on the recorded votes.

When a motion closes:
• Results email out to residents/members so the decision is communicated the moment it's final.
• The outcome and the full vote breakdown stay on the record.

Public transparency:
• A "Board Vote Results" Builder block lets you publish closed-motion outcomes on your public site, so residents and members can see how the board voted without logging in.

Governance is about accountability — every vote is recorded, attributed, and archived, so there's a durable trail of who decided what and when.
