Log gig expenses and get ready for taxes

The expenses you rack up doing gig work lower what you owe — but only if you record them. Gig keeps your expenses next to your earnings so your taxable income is the real number.

To log an expense:
1. Open Gig (/me/gig) and go to the Expenses tab.
2. Press Add expense.
3. Pick a category (phone and data, supplies, insurance, parking and tolls, platform fees, or other), enter the amount, and save.

The Taxes tab uses your earnings and expenses together to show where you stand for the year, so quarterly taxes are not a surprise. Keep expenses current through the year and the tax picture stays accurate.
