Cancelling or refunding a gift card

Open the card from Gift Cards → Issued cards, click **Cancel**, then choose:

- **Cancel & refund Stripe** — issues a refund on the original Stripe charge for the unused balance. Use this when the buyer requests a refund or there's a fraud dispute.
- **Cancel without refund** — voids the remaining balance without touching Stripe. Use this when you've already refunded another way or the card was lost/abandoned.

Either way, the card flips to **cancelled** status and any remaining balance is zeroed. The reversing journal entry is auto-posted (liability debit → cash on refund, → revenue on void).
