Getting started with Field Service
The Field Service module manages on-site work orders, technician dispatch, service agreements, and equipment tracking.
Enabling Field Service:
1. Settings → Modules → enable Field Service
2. Field Service appears in the main navigation under Operations
The module has six tabs:
• Dispatch — board view of today's scheduled and active jobs
• Jobs — full list of all work orders
• Customers — service customers linked to your Contacts
• Equipment — assets you service or manage for customers
• Agreements — recurring service contracts with billing schedules
• Reports — job completion, revenue, and response-time summaries
Job lifecycle:
New → Scheduled → En Route → In Progress → Completed → Invoiced
Every status change is logged automatically for a full audit trail.
