Your proof-of-formation credential

When your Certificate of Formation is accepted, Turtini mints a **legalEntityFormed** Verified-by-Turtini credential — a portable, Ed25519-signed proof that your company was formed, recording the legal name, state, entity type, formation date, and filing number.

Why it matters:

• **You own it.** The credential is yours, not locked inside Turtini. Anyone — a bank, a payment processor doing KYB, a landlord, a future lender — can verify it independently at its public verification link.
• **No re-collecting Articles.** Instead of digging up and re-submitting your formation documents everywhere, you carry one signed credential.
• **It feeds the rest of the stack.** A freshly formed entity can move straight into payments onboarding and lending without re-keying its legal identity.

The credential's claim records the filing **channel**. A "sandbox" channel marks a non-authoritative demo formation (no document was filed with the state) — so a sandbox credential is honestly distinguishable from a real one and downstream systems can refuse it.
