Anonymous passes and attendee privacy
For free community events you can skip asking for identity entirely. On the Overview tab, turn off "Require a name" and "Require an email."
In anonymous mode the public page collects nothing — the pass simply appears on screen to save or add to a wallet, and no contact record is created. You still get the headcount and any contributions; you just don't hold anyone's personal data.
The trade-off is shown plainly: anonymous attendees can't be emailed or texted (including emergency alerts), but they still see on-site signage and the public status page. Use it where collecting names would feel unsafe or unwelcome.
