Certificate vault — SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, ISSC
The Certificates tab is the digital document folder a class surveyor or PSC inspector would expect to see — every statutory and class certificate on every vessel, with PDF on file and expiry tracked.
What you store:
• SOLAS — Cargo Ship Safety Construction, Cargo Ship Safety Equipment, Cargo Ship Safety Radio (or Passenger Ship Safety for passenger vessels)
• MARPOL — IOPP (oil), ISPP (sewage), IAPP (air pollution), Garbage Management Plan
• ISPS — International Ship Security Certificate (ISSC)
• Class — Hull, Machinery, Load Line, Tonnage
• Flag — Document of Compliance (DOC), Safety Management Certificate (SMC), Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR)
• MLC — Maritime Labour Certificate
For each certificate:
• PDF upload (stored encrypted at rest)
• Issue date, expiry date, next survey due (annual / intermediate / renewal)
• Issuing authority (class society or flag state)
• Notes
Expiry alerts:
30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before expiry, the system surfaces the certificate on the dashboard and emails the vessel manager. A red badge appears on the vessel record itself so it's visible at a glance.
PSC readiness:
When you click "PSC readiness check" on a vessel, the system surfaces every certificate with anything less than 90 days remaining, every overdue maintenance task, and every defect older than 30 days — the things a Port State Control officer is most likely to write up.
