Import your FilmFreeway submissions

If your filmmakers apply through FilmFreeway, you can bring those submissions straight into Turtini instead of retyping them.

Where to go: Film Festival -> Program -> Import.

Getting the file:
1. In FilmFreeway, open your project's Submissions
2. Export as CSV
3. In Turtini, Film Festival -> Program -> Import -> Choose CSV

Read the summary before you import. It tells you four things:
- Rows in the file
- May be published
- Withheld
- Columns dropped

Why "withheld" is usually almost every row: a submission is not a selection. Every row of an export taken while you are still judging reads "Undecided". Nothing is published unless the row carries an affirmative selection, so mid-judging you should expect a large withheld count. Those films are still imported for your own use - they just do not appear on your public page.

What is never imported, at all:
Judge ratings (including each judge's own named rating column), assigned judges, submission notes, your Red/Yellow/Green flag, screener and submission passwords, discount codes, and the submitter's home address, phone number and birthdate. These are dropped before the file is read. They are not stored, cannot be mapped to a field, and cannot be published. You will see them listed, struck through, so you can confirm it.

Trailers: only public YouTube and Vimeo links are used. A FilmFreeway link in the Trailer column is a private screener, often paired with a password, so it is ignored rather than published.

Columns:
A stock FilmFreeway export maps itself. If your export renamed a column, change it under Columns. Private columns are never offered as a source, so a judge's notes cannot be wired into a synopsis.

Re-importing is safe and expected:
Films are matched on FilmFreeway's Submission ID, which does not change between exports. Import again whenever more selections land. Anything you have edited in Turtini - a synopsis you fixed, a blurb you wrote, a poster you added - is left alone. Anything you have not touched is refreshed from the new export. A film you unpublished by hand stays unpublished.

A row with no Submission ID is counted and skipped, because there is no way to match it on a later import.
