Audience voting and virtual screenings
Audience voting
Audience voting lets your audience pick a favourite across your audience award categories.
How it works:
- Voting stays closed until you turn on "Audience voting open" in Film Festival -> Settings -> Awards, so you can publish the page ahead of the festival
- Your audience votes from your own website using the Audience Award block. No account needed, just an email, which is how one vote per person per category is enforced
- Only audience award categories appear on the ballot. Jury categories never do
- Votes are anonymous. Only the tally is visible to your team
Putting the ballot on your site:
1. Website -> open the page you want the ballot on
2. Add block -> Audience Award
3. Choose whether to show the running results under the ballot
4. Publish
Admin tally:
Film Festival -> Audience -> Voting shows counts per film per award category, updating as votes arrive.
Virtual screenings
Films in your catalog can carry a virtual screening window. On a film record you can set the stream URL, when access opens and closes, geoblocked country codes, and whether captions and audio description are available.
Your public program shows that a virtual screening exists. It never exposes the stream URL, the geoblocking list, or the screener password - those stay on the server, so publishing your program cannot leak the film itself.
