Recurring events: holidays and a different location each time

A recurring event is a series: one event per date, each with its own page, tickets and reminders.

**Creating a series**

1. In New Event, turn on **Recurring event**, pick how it repeats (for example "Every month on the last Sunday") and how many times.
2. Under **Holidays**, choose **Warn me** or **Skip holiday dates**, and which holidays count: US federal holidays, common US observances and Christian holidays are on by default; Jewish and Islamic holidays can be turned on.
- Warn me keeps every date and marks any that fall on a holiday ("Easter Sunday -- check this date").
- Skip leaves those dates out and adds the next ordinary date instead, so you still get the number you asked for. Each skipped date is listed with **Include anyway** if you want it back.
3. If the event moves, turn on **Location changes each time** and enter a venue and address for each date, or pick one of your previously used locations. A date left blank uses the main location.

Holidays are US-only and computed, not looked up. Islamic holiday dates can differ by a day where communities go by moon sighting, and state, school and local holidays are not included, so a date with no warning can still be a holiday for your members.

**Changing locations later**

Open any date in the series, choose to edit the whole series, and expand **Series management**. Under **Locations by date**, edit an upcoming date's venue, address or private-address setting and click **Save**; **Copy from previous** repeats the date before it. Past dates are kept as they were.

A date whose location was set on its own keeps it when you edit the whole series. Changing the title, time or description for the series never touches any date's address. If you change the series location, dates with their own location are left alone and you are told how many; **Apply to all dates** puts the new location on every date.

**Adding dates and changing the cadence**

**Add more occurrences** and **Change cadence going forward** follow the holiday choice the series was created with. New dates take the series location, not the last date's own one. Upcoming dates that fall on a holiday are flagged in Series management.
