Selling drink and food tickets with event tickets

Drink and food tickets ride on a guest's event ticket. Guests add them at checkout or later from their ticket page, and staff scan the ticket QR code to redeem one at a time.

**Setting it up**

1. Open the event and turn on ticketing.
2. Under **Drink and food tickets**, add each item with a name, a price, a kind (drink, food, or other), and an optional limit per order.
3. Save. The items appear on the ticket checkout for paid tickets, and on each buyer's "View my tickets" page.

Guests can add drink and food tickets any time before or during the event, until the end of the event day in your organization's time zone. The ticket confirmation email has an "Add drinks & food" button. A guest at the venue without that email can use "Already have a ticket?" on the event page: they enter the email they bought with, and the link to their ticket is emailed to that address. The page never says whether an address has tickets.

A free ticket has no charge to add them to, so its holder adds them from their ticket page.

**Redeeming at the bar and food station**

Open the event's check-in scanner and choose **Bar** or **Food** at the top instead of Door. Each scan uses one credit and shows how many are left. The scanner needs a connection at the bar and food stations so the same credit cannot be used twice. Each phone remembers which station it is.

Credits are shared across a purchase: any ticket QR from the same purchase can use them. A ticket transferred to someone else cannot use the buyer's credits.

**Who gets the money**

Go to Events -> Sales -> **Drinks & Food**. Set what share of drink and food revenue goes to recipients, after card fees, and list the recipients, such as partner bars and your caterer. Each kind's share is split equally among its active recipients, and you keep the rest. Turtini works out who is owed what; you send each payment and record it there. Once a recipient in a kind has been paid, that kind's share and list lock.

**Refunds**

Refunding a whole ticket also refunds its unused drink and food tickets. To refund only those, open the purchase in the ticket list and click **Refund unused drink & food**. Redeemed credits are never refunded.

Drink and food money is never part of admission, so it never counts toward a selling partner's share.
