Transferring a ticket to someone else
If you can't make it to an event, you can transfer your ticket to someone else without involving the event organizer.
To transfer:
1. Open My Tickets (avatar → My Tickets)
2. Click Transfer on the ticket you want to send
3. Enter the recipient's email and an optional message
4. Click Send
The recipient gets an email with a one-time accept link (/tickets/accept/{code}). When they accept, the ticket moves to their account and the QR token is rotated — your old wallet pass and confirmation email QR stop resolving immediately. This prevents both holders from showing up at check-in with the same code.
Transfer links expire after 30 days. If the recipient doesn't accept in time, the ticket reverts to you and you can resend.
You don't pay anything to transfer — the org's revenue from the original sale is unchanged. Transfers are not the same as resales (where money changes hands and the org tracks margin).
