Reselling tickets your org bought from a venue
Ticket Resale lets your org buy a block of tickets from a third-party venue (a Broadway show, a sports game, a concert), mark up the price, and resell them through your platform — with the cost basis and margin journalled into Accounting automatically.
To create a resale block:
1. Open Events → Resale (org admin only) or visit /events/resale
2. Click + New Resale Block
3. Enter the venue, event name, date, and seating info
4. Set Cost per ticket — what your org paid the venue
5. Set Resale price per ticket — what you charge customers
6. Enter the quantity of tickets in the block
7. Optionally pick a Vendor Integration — Manual CSV (default), Ticketmaster TM1, AXS, Eventbrite, or SeatGeek (most are coming soon; CSV works today)
When customers buy from /events/resale/{blockId}, Stripe processes payment and Accounting books revenue at the resale price and COGS at the cost basis — net margin lands in your books automatically.
Ticket delivery happens through the venue, not the platform — the platform doesn't issue QRs for resale blocks. The vendor integration (or a CSV download) is how you hand over buyer details to the venue.
You can delete unsold blocks any time. Once even one ticket has sold, the block can only be archived (revenue/COGS history is preserved).
