EquipmentOS — selling, servicing, and renting on one system
EquipmentOS runs retail sales, service, rentals, and leases for units of every kind — cars, trucks, and heavy or industrial equipment — from one location or many, on the same set of primitives. Open it at /equipment. The tabs are Inventory, Service, Orders, Lease, Rental, Deals, Billing, Financing, Titling, and Locations.
Inventory:
Stock each unit with its VIN or serial, category (car, truck, equipment, industrial, other), condition, make, model, year, stock number, cost, and price. A unit carries a live status — in stock, in transit, reserved, sold, on lease, on rent, or in service — and moderated photos. Add a unit with "+ New unit".
Service department:
Open a work order with "+ New work order": tie it to a unit and a customer, capture the complaint, schedule an appointment, and assign a technician. Work orders move through open, scheduled, in progress, awaiting parts, completed, invoiced, and closed.
Ordering and locations:
Order parts or whole units. Every order can be an inter-location transfer between your lots or a factory order from the manufacturer, and each is tracked through delivery into stock. Manage your lots on the Locations tab and set a default.
Leases and rentals:
Create a lease with a term, residual, money factor, and down payment, and EquipmentOS generates the payment schedule for you. Rentals carry a daily or weekly rate, a deposit, and check-out and return steps; double-booking a unit is blocked.
Deals:
A deal ties a unit to a customer Contact, takes a trade-in with an allowance, and collects payment through the Turtini payment surface — never an off-platform link. Quote requests from your public website land at the top of the Deals tab as leads.
Quotes, invoices, and financing:
On the Billing tab, generate a customer quote or an invoice directly from a deal, a work order, or a parts order — the line items, taxes, and totals are computed from the record itself. Send it, request payment or a deposit, and the payment settles to you. The Financing tab structures in-house financing where your dealership extends the credit and holds the paper; Turtini computes the disclosure figures, but it is a preview, so have counsel review your disclosures before financing a real customer.
Have Wally do it:
Describe a unit to Wally ("add a used 2021 Honda Accord, VIN ..., stock C-1001, price 24,995") and it fills in the details, then offers a card to add it to inventory — you confirm before it is stocked. Wally can also open a work order, list inventory or invoices, and draft a quote the same way.
