Messaging — real-time chat with your customer

Each lab environment has a real-time messaging panel shared between your org and the linked customer. It works like a direct message thread — no separate tool needed.

To open it (org side):
1. Go to Presales → Environments
2. Find the environment card — a "Messages" button appears at the bottom when a customer is linked
3. Click "Messages" to open the thread inline

To open it (customer side):
1. Go to Customer Portal → My Environments
2. Click "Messages" on any environment card

What you'll see:
• Messages appear in real time on both sides using Firestore live sync
• Online/offline dot shows whether the other party has been active in the last 60 seconds
• ✓ = message delivered, ✓✓ in green = the other party has seen it
• Avatars show initials of the message author
• File attachments can be sent using the paperclip icon

Messages are immutable — they cannot be edited or deleted after sending.
