Slash commands and voice composition

Two composer shortcuts speed up writing — slash commands for inserting tokens and live content, and a mic button for dictating subject lines and body copy hands-free.

Slash commands:
Type "/" followed by letters in subject, preheader, hero title, hero subtitle, or any text block. A palette appears with grouped suggestions:

Personalization
• /firstName, /lastName, /email — contact fields
• /accountName — primary account name
• /org, /orgWebsite — your org's identity

Live content (fetched once when composer opens)
• /article — list of your published articles; pick one to embed
• /discount — your active discount codes
• /event — your upcoming events
• /deck — your published decks

Conditional helpers
• /if — inserts {{#if condition}}...{{/if}} skeleton
• /ifelse — inserts {{#if condition}}...{{else}}...{{/if}} skeleton

Keyboard nav: ↑/↓ to highlight, Enter to insert, Esc to dismiss. Mouse hover shows a preview.

The slash detection regex requires whitespace or punctuation before the slash, so "https://" URLs don't accidentally trigger the palette.

Voice composition:
Click the mic icon in subject, preheader, or any text block:
1. Browser asks for mic permission (first time only)
2. Click to start recording — the icon turns red
3. Speak the content
4. Click again to stop — auto-cap is 60 seconds (bounds chargeback)
5. Audio is sent to Wally's transcription pipeline (Google Cloud Speech-to-Text V2)
6. Transcript is inserted at the cursor position

Voice is great for:
• Subject line drafting — speak 5 variants, pick the best
• First-draft body copy — talk it through, then edit

Cost transparency: voice transcription is metered the same as Wally voice and rolls into the +15% chargeback on Account → Pay-as-you-go.
