Magic design — generating layouts from a brief

Magic Design generates a complete graphic design (social post, ad, flyer, banner) from a one-line brief. Tell it what the design is for; it picks the layout, the imagery, the type, and the colors — all matched to your brand.

To generate:
1. Design Studio → "+ New design" → pick a size preset (Instagram post, Facebook ad, A4 flyer, etc.) or custom
2. Click "Magic Design" in the left rail
3. Type a one-line brief: "Spring sale — 25% off, ends Friday"
4. Add optional context: target tone (playful / corporate / urgent), color palette hint
5. Generate — Magic Design produces 4 variants in ~10 seconds
6. Pick one to load into the canvas as your starting point

Adjacent magic tools (all in the same panel):

Magic Resize:
• Have a great Instagram post? Click "Resize" → pick "Facebook ad / Story / Twitter card" → AI re-flows the layout for the new aspect ratio without breaking the design
• Saves the cycle of designing the same content for 6 different platforms

Rewrite Text:
• Highlight any text block → "Rewrite" → suggests 3–5 alternative phrasings
• Useful for tightening copy or matching a specific length (e.g. fitting "Save 25%" in a small badge)

Swap Palette:
• "I like the layout but the colors don't fit our brand"
• Click "Swap Palette" → pick from your brand palette or describe a vibe ("warmer", "more contrast", "Wes Anderson")
• Re-colors the design in place — original layout, new chromatic identity

Magic Design from Image:
• Drag in a reference image → "Generate similar designs" → AI reverse-engineers the visual style and produces designs with similar aesthetic
• Great for matching a brand brief from a competitor's ad you saw

Background removal:
• Pick any imported image → "Remove background"
• Vision API isolates the subject; transparent PNG is exported
• Useful for product photos, headshots, hero images

Cost transparency:
• Each Magic Design generation is billed at the +15% chargeback for AI calls
• Visible on Account → Pay-as-you-go → Design AI line
• Magic Resize and Swap Palette are smaller calls (~10× cheaper than full Magic Design)
