Connect a domain you already own
If you already own a domain (at GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, Google Domains/Squarespace, Cloudflare, anywhere) and want to use it with Turtini, you have two paths depending on how much DNS control you want.
Path 1 — Connect your Cloudflare account (recommended):
You get full DNS control, free SSL, and Cloudflare's performance + security features.
1. Go to Account → Domains and click "Connect my Cloudflare account."
2. The 3-step wizard walks you through creating a Cloudflare account (free, ~2 min) if you don't have one yet, then creating a scoped API token with the permissions Turtini needs.
3. Paste the token and your Cloudflare Account ID — Turtini verifies them and you're connected.
4. From there, the Builder → Domains page shows every zone in your Cloudflare account. Add your domain, point your registrar's nameservers at Cloudflare, and attach a Builder site with one click.
Path 2 — Point existing DNS at us (no Cloudflare account required):
Add a CNAME at your current DNS host (wherever your domain lives today) pointing to "hosted.turtini.com". This route works with any DNS provider — GoDaddy, Namecheap, Route 53, your ISP's basic DNS, anything. You keep paying your existing registrar, you keep using your existing DNS, and Turtini just receives the traffic for whatever subdomain you point at us.
Which to pick: Path 1 is better if you want everything in one place and value free SSL/CDN. Path 2 is better if you're already happy with your current DNS provider and just need traffic to route to Turtini. You can always switch paths later — none of this is irreversible.
Want a domain that's fully managed for you instead? See "Buy a domain through Turtini" — we register, host DNS, and renew automatically, with a one-click transfer-out escape hatch.
