Attach a domain to a Builder site
Buying a domain through Turtini wires DNS automatically, so connecting it to a Builder site takes one click. Here's the full flow whether the domain came from Turtini or you're connecting one you already own.
Domain bought through Turtini (or connected via your Cloudflare account):
1. Go to Builder → Domains (the existing zones tab).
2. Find your domain in the Zones list, click it.
3. Click "Connect to Turtini site" — pick which Builder site to attach.
4. Done. The domain (and its www. companion) now resolve to the site within minutes.
You can attach multiple subdomains to different sites — e.g., apex example.com to your marketing site, shop.example.com to a storefront, app.example.com to a different Builder site. Each "connect" is independent.
Domain bought elsewhere, connected via CNAME (no Cloudflare account):
1. In your other DNS host (GoDaddy, Namecheap, wherever the domain lives), create a CNAME record at the subdomain you want — e.g., for "www" the CNAME points to "hosted.turtini.com".
2. In Turtini, go to the Builder site's Settings → Custom Domain, type the same hostname.
3. Wait for DNS propagation (usually a few minutes; up to a couple hours in rare cases).
SSL is automatic. Turtini provisions a TLS certificate for every connected hostname automatically once DNS is resolving. You don't need to upload a certificate, configure HTTPS, or pay extra. The first request after attaching may take ~30 seconds while the cert is issued; afterwards every visitor gets HTTPS by default.
Apex vs www: We auto-wire both. Connect either "example.com" or "www.example.com" — the other one is set up automatically as a companion so visitors land in the same place no matter which they type.
Disconnect anytime: same place in the UI, "Disconnect" button. DNS records stay in place but stop routing to Turtini.
