Creating a deck

Decks are multi-slide presentations you build inside Builder. Each slide is a Fabric.js canvas with text, shapes, images, brand colors, and per-slide animations. Use them for pitch decks, customer reviews, internal status decks, or anything you'd otherwise build in Keynote or PowerPoint.

To create a deck:
1. Open Builder from the main nav
2. Click the Decks tab at the top of the page (next to Sites, Design, Signatures, Advertising, Domains, Emails, Socials)
3. Click + New Deck
4. Pick a format — 16:9 widescreen, 4:3 standard, A4 / Letter for print, or square for social
5. Enter a name and click Create — the editor opens with a single blank slide

In the editor:
• Left sidebar: slide thumbnails (drag to reorder, right-click for duplicate / delete / hide)
• Center: the active slide canvas — double-click to add text, drag to position, use the toolbar for shapes/images/brand colors
• Right panel: per-slide properties (background, transition, animation timeline, speaker notes)
• Top bar: Insert from module… (covered in a separate article), Present, Export, Share, Refresh from source

Saves are automatic — every change goes through DecksContext and writes to Firestore in real time. Multiple teammates editing the same deck see each other's cursors via the collaboration overlay.
