Customer portal — My Gift Cards tab
Customers who have purchased or received gift cards from your org see a My Gift Cards tab in their customer portal. The tab is the customer-side view of every card linked to their email address.
What customers see:
• Active cards — denomination, current balance, expiration if any, brand artwork
• Used / cancelled cards — read-only history
• "Show code" button on each card — reveals the redeem code (TGC-XXXX) and a QR for in-person redemption
• "Add to Apple Wallet" button if the customer hasn't installed the pass yet
• Transaction history per card — issuance, redemptions, refunds
Auto-linking gift cards to a customer:
The system links cards to a customer Contact by recipient email. Cards purchased via the public buy page (/buy/gc/:productId) flow back to the buyer's Contact automatically. Cards issued manually with a recipient email match the same way.
Customers can't transfer cards from the portal:
The transfer flow is landlord-side / org-side — only the issuing org can transfer a card to a new recipient. Customers asking to transfer one of their cards should contact the org through the portal's contact link.
Public redeem still works:
The customer doesn't need a portal account to redeem — the bearer-instrument code at /redeem/:code is always accessible. The portal tab is a convenience, not a gate.
