Filter, scan and read contacts side by side
On a computer, Contacts opens as three panels: Filters and tags on the left, the contact list in the middle, and the open contact on the right. Each panel scrolls on its own, so you can work down a filtered list and read each record without losing your place.
To work through a list:
1. Narrow the list in the Filters and tags panel: search, a saved view, a segment, one or more tags, a source, or a company and title.
2. Click a contact in the list. It opens in the right panel, and the list stays where it was.
3. Click the next contact. To change a record, press Edit in the right panel; Save or Cancel brings the record back.
The list shows 50 contacts at a time and loads the next 50 as you scroll, with "Show more" at the bottom as well. The line above the list says how many of the matching contacts are showing.
Arranging the panels:
• Drag the edge between two panels to widen or narrow one. Double-click the edge to switch between the standard and the wide size.
• Drag a panel's header grip to move it to the other side. From the keyboard, focus the grip and press Left or Right, or press Enter for the panel menu (move, collapse to the edge, restore the standard size, reset the layout).
• Your layout is saved to your account, so it is the same on every computer you sign in on.
The open contact is part of the page address. Copy the address to send a teammate straight to that record.
Go to another page and come back, and the list is as you left it: the same filters, the same tags and the same place in the list. Reloading the page starts the list fresh; a saved view brings a filter set back in one click.
On a phone, or in a narrow window, Contacts is one column: tap Filters above the list to filter, tap a contact to open it, and tap Back to Contacts to return to the list.
