Importing contacts from a CSV
Upload a CSV exported from Salesforce, HubSpot, a spreadsheet or anywhere else, and Turtini maps its columns to contact fields.
Before anything is imported, every row is shown for review:
1. Uncheck anyone you don't want imported. Checked rows are the only ones created.
2. Names missing from the file are guessed from the email address and marked "guessed". Edit them, or leave them blank to import that contact by email or company only.
3. Each email's domain is checked to confirm it can still receive mail. A domain that no longer exists, or that accepts no email, is marked so you can leave it out. "Exclude them" unchecks all of those at once.
4. Shared inboxes such as info@ or events@ are marked too. They are valid contacts, just not a single person.
The domain check is free. It confirms the domain receives mail, not that a particular inbox still exists.
Checking each inbox (paid):
Org owners and admins can also check that each inbox still exists. Turtini shows the number of addresses and the price before anything runs. The charge is the verification provider's cost plus 15%, added to your organization's monthly usage. Addresses whose server would not give an answer are not charged, and addresses already known to be undeliverable are skipped.
Contacts already in Turtini (same email, or same name and company) are skipped, so uploading the same file again does not create duplicates.
