Importing contacts from SAM.gov
Turtini can pull the registered Points of Contact (POCs) directly from a SAM.gov entity record and import them as contacts in one step.
How to use it:
1. Go to Contacts and click "From SAM.gov" in the top-right action bar.
2. Search for the account you want to pull POCs from — only accounts that have been linked to SAM.gov (have a UEID) appear in the list.
3. Turtini fetches up to seven POC types: Electronic Business, Government Business, Past Performance, and their alternates, plus the Certifying Official.
4. Review the contact list, check or uncheck individuals, then click Import.
Duplicate handling:
SAM.gov often registers the same person in multiple POC slots. Turtini automatically deduplicates by email address (primary) and full name (fallback). When two slots contain the same person their POC type labels are merged — for example, "Electronic Business / Government Business" — so you still see all the roles they hold, but only one contact record is created.
Each imported contact is tagged with their POC type in the Team field and includes a note indicating they were imported from SAM.gov.
To link an account to SAM.gov, open the account's Details tab and use the SAM.gov Entity Lookup to find and attach the correct UEID.
