Creating commission entries
Commission entries tie a deal (opportunity) to a rep's payout calculation.
Creating an entry:
1. Commissions → Entries → + New Entry
2. Select the opportunity and account
3. Select the rep and their plan auto-populates
4. Enter the period (YYYY-MM, e.g. "2026-04")
5. Fill in the financial inputs:
• Top Line — total contract or deal value
• Gross Profit — revenue after direct costs
• Transaction Costs — any deal-specific fees
• Payroll — payroll costs attributed to this deal
6. For salary-type plans, enter the rep's salary and salary %
7. Commission, profit sharing, and total comp are calculated live as you type
8. Save as Pending
Editing entries:
• Pending entries can be edited freely
• Once Approved or Paid, entries are locked — create a correcting entry if needed
