Creating commission plans
Commission plans define how a rep's compensation is calculated. You can have multiple plans for different roles or deal types.
Plan types:
• Flat % — a fixed percentage of the commission pool; predictable and straightforward
• Tiered — the percentage increases as cumulative gross profit crosses defined thresholds (e.g. 5% up to $50k GP, then 7% above)
• Salary % — commission is calculated as a percentage of the rep's base salary; suited for salaried reps
Creating a plan:
1. Commissions → Plans → + New Plan
2. Name the plan (e.g. "Standard Rep", "Senior AE")
3. Select the plan type
4. For Flat: enter the commission percentage
5. For Tiered: add tiers — each tier has a GP threshold and a percentage applied at that level
6. For Salary %: enter the percentage of salary paid as commission
7. Save
Assigning plans to reps:
• Plans are assigned per rep in Commissions → Reps
• A rep can have one active plan assignment at a time
• Changing a plan takes effect on the next entry — existing entries are not recalculated
