Getting started with Cinema

Cinema is ad-free video distribution — your own streaming channels with a catalog, series, public submission portals, watchlists, and a Turtini-grade player. Schools, nonprofits, festivals, and brands all run on the same stack.

Enabling Cinema:
1. Settings → Modules → enable Cinema
2. Cinema appears in the main nav at /cinema

How it's organized:
• A channel is a persistent home for related videos — a course library, a festival's official selections, a brand's show. Create one from the /cinema overview.
• Open a channel at /cinema/:channelId to manage its videos, catalog, and series.
• Each video has a cockpit at /cinema/:channelId/videos/:videoId — status, captions, chapters, access control — and an editor for trimming and overlays.
• Viewers watch on the public page at /c/:channelSlug/v/:videoId. No app install, no ads.

Streaming providers:
Cinema runs on Cloudflare Stream by default, with Mux, Bunny, and self-hosted as alternatives per channel. Bandwidth is metered per channel and flows back as platform usage — set a monthly cap in the channel settings.

A video moves from uploaded to live once you publish it. Publishing is a permissioned action; without "Publish videos" a member can upload and edit but not push live.
