Registering and protecting partner deals
Deal registration is how partners tell you about opportunities they're working — so the deal is attributed to the right partner and shielded from channel conflict.
The partner side:
A partner registers a deal with the end customer, the opportunity, and the value. It lands in your review queue on the Deal Reg tab.
Your side:
On the Deal Reg tab you approve or reject each registration. Approving assigns a protection window — for that period the deal belongs to the registering partner, so two partners can't both claim the same customer. Approving deal registrations is a permissioned action ("Approve deal registrations").
Partner accounts and hierarchy:
The Accounts tab holds your partner organizations; the Hierarchy tab shows the full vendor → distributor → reseller → end-customer chain, so you can see who sourced a deal and who fulfills it. If the same partner gets entered twice, the merge queue keeps the hierarchy clean — resolving it is permissioned ("Merge duplicate partners").
Channel pairs with the CRM module: a registered, approved deal gives co-sell visibility alongside your own pipeline.
