Player Banking — winnings that belong to the account, not the card
Player Banking fixes the oldest vulnerability in a casino's cash flow. Winnings paid as cash or as a printed TITO ticket are bearer instruments — they belong to whoever holds them. Credits get stranded on a machine when a player forgets to transfer, lost when the card is pulled, or a dropped ticket is redeemed by a stranger. The common failure: value is bound to a THING (machine, card, ticket) instead of a PERSON.
In Player Banking, winnings bind to the player's account (their Contact). The card is a key to the account, never a wallet — there are no credits "on the card", so pulling the card can't strand or lose anything. The account balance lives in an append-only ledger.
How value moves:
- Machine credits and debits come from the floor's certified cashless system (the machine vendor's regulated device). Turtini is only the account of record — it does not move value at the machine.
- Deposits (front money) and authenticated withdrawals (cash-out) are staff cage operations you post from the Banking tab. A withdrawal is authenticated as the player — not the redemption of a bearer ticket.
- Funds are held by the property under its own gaming license (safekeeping), not by Turtini.
Uncarded play has no account to bind to; that falls back to your regulated bearer cashout. Carded play is the default and is what earns points, tier, and comps. You can ask Wally to record a withdrawal.
