Record a valuation on your cap table

Recording valuations keeps a history of what the company has been worth — for priced rounds, 409A reports, secondaries, and internal marks.

To record one:
1. Open /cap-table and go to the Valuations tab.
2. Press Record valuation.
3. Pick the type (Priced Round, 409A, Secondary, Internal, or Market Comparable) and enter the price per share plus pre-money and post-money where they apply.
4. Press Record.

Each valuation is kept in order on the Valuations tab, so you can point an auditor, an investor, or your board at the full history without rebuilding it from spreadsheets.
