The owner portal — what your customer sees

Every build you run is visible to the owner at /me/builds on their Personal lens. They see the same numbers you do — there's no second copy or filtered export.

What the owner sees:
• Running cost vs original contract — the chart shows original, executed change orders, current contract, billed-to-date, paid-to-date
• Pending change orders awaiting their signature — they sign by typing their name (the platform stamps the signature)
• Recent daily reports flagged as visible-to-owner
• Open punch list items flagged as customer-visible

What the owner cannot see:
• Internal-only daily reports (toggled when filing the report)
• Punch items marked customer-hidden
• Your subcontract details, vendor costs, or markups
• Lien waivers, internal RFIs, or your accounting

The owner portal is read-only except for change-order signatures. Owners cannot edit specs, reports, or budgets.

Why we built it this way: the platform's design principle is "radical transparency" — the owner trusts the project when they can see the truth in real time. Concealment is the source of most contractor disputes; defaulting to visibility short-circuits them.
