Editor keyboard shortcuts and hover-+ to insert a block anywhere
The Builder editor ships with single-letter shortcuts so you can fly without lifting your hands off the keyboard.
Shortcuts (cursor must NOT be in a text field):
• B — toggle the Add Block picker
• D — duplicate the selected block
• Delete / Backspace — remove the selected block
• J / K — select the next / previous block
• Esc — close the picker, or deselect the current block
• ⌘Z / ⌘⇧Z — undo / redo (works inside text fields too)
• ⌘K — open the command palette (search pages + actions)
• ⌘S — swallowed (autosave already runs every 600 ms)
• ? — open the shortcut help overlay
Hover-+ to insert a block anywhere:
Hover the gap between any two blocks in the editor's block list. A thin accent-color line appears with a small "+" in the middle. Click it to open the picker — the new block lands in that exact slot, not at the bottom.
Picker tips:
• Searchable — type to filter by block label
• Per-org usage tracking — blocks you've used recently float to the top of their group
• Star a block to pin it as a favorite
• Hover any block in the picker for a one-line description of what it does
Changes save automatically as you edit (no Save button needed). The autosave indicator near the title shows "Saving…" mid-stroke and "✓ Saved" briefly after each round-trip.
