Live ads in the site header and footer

Drop a live ad strip above your nav bar, above your footer columns, or both — without adding an Ad Placement block on every page. Useful when you want consistent monetization across the whole site or are running a single campaign you want everyone to see on every page.

Requirements:
• Advertising module enabled on the org
• At least one active ad campaign in the Advertising module (the strip uses "auto" mode and rotates through whatever's active)

Header ad strip:
1. Site editor → open your Nav block (or open the template's nav under Templates → Nav)
2. Toggle "Show ad above nav" → On
3. Pick a max height: Slim (40px), Standard (60px), or Tall (90px)
4. Save

The ad renders as a thin row above the logo + menu row — it never competes with menu items for horizontal space. The creative is scaled down with object-contain to honor your max-height cap, so wide creatives just letterbox cleanly.

Footer ad strip:
1. Site editor → open your Footer block (or template footer)
2. Toggle "Show ad above footer columns" → On
3. Pick a max height: Slim (60px), Standard (90px), Tall (120px), or Banner (180px)
4. Save

The footer ad sits above your column links + bottom bar with a clean divider.

Tracking:
Impressions and clicks count automatically against the campaign — same as the standalone Ad Placement block. No setup needed beyond the toggle.

When to use what:
• Header/footer ad strip — always-on monetization, every page
• Ad Placement block (in-page) — targeted ad inside an article or landing page
• Both can run on the same site without conflict.
