Volunteer Sign-Up block
The Volunteer Sign-Up block collects volunteer registrations on your public website and automatically creates Turtini accounts and Workforce records for each person who submits.
Requirements:
• Websites module must be active
• Workforce module must be active on your org
• At least one event must have "Enable volunteer assignments" turned on to show event checkboxes
Adding the block:
1. Website Builder → edit a page → + Add Block → Volunteer Sign-Up
2. Set your heading, description, submit button label, and success message
3. Choose whether to include a phone number field
4. Choose a background style: White, Light gray, or Brand color
What visitors see:
• First name, last name, and email fields (required)
• Optional phone field
• A list of upcoming events with volunteer assignments enabled — visitors check the ones they want to help with
• On submit: a success confirmation; they receive a welcome email with a set-your-password link
What gets created automatically:
• A Turtini account (new users get a set-password email; returning users get a profile link)
• A Volunteer worker record in your org's Workforce module
• A Workforce Assignment for each selected event, linked with the event name and date
Managing recruits after sign-up:
• View them in Workforce → People (type: Volunteer)
• View their event assignments in Workforce → Assignments — event-linked assignments show a purple "Event" badge
• Manage or remove them from the event detail view → Volunteers panel
Tip: Pair this block with an Events block on the same page so visitors can browse upcoming events before signing up.
