Pay-as-you-go — Wally, voice, and Cloud Storage charges
Several infrastructure costs are billed separately from the platform fee on payment volume: Wally chat, Wally voice (input and output), and Cloud Storage. Each one is passthrough — your actual cost plus a uniform 15% Turtini markup.
Wally chat:
• Every chat turn and tool call is metered against the Anthropic API in real time
• Charged at Claude's list rates plus 15% (e.g. Haiku 4.5 input is $1.15 per million tokens vs the $1.00 list rate)
• Surfaced live on Settings → Usage in the "Pay-as-you-go" card with this month's running total, turn count, and tool-call count
Wally voice — input (Google Cloud Speech-to-Text):
• Every voice memo you dictate (manual mic or "Hey Wally" wake-word) is transcribed by Google Cloud Speech-to-Text
• Charged at Google's per-second rate plus 15%
• The browser-side wake-word listener that detects "Hey Wally" runs locally and is free — only the actual recording after the wake word counts toward usage
• Settings → Usage shows the dictation count and the total seconds transcribed this month
Wally voice — output (ElevenLabs):
• Every "read aloud" play (and every auto-spoken reply) calls ElevenLabs to generate audio
• Charged per character of text synthesized, plus 15%; cached audio replays are free
• Settings → Usage shows the count of replies read aloud and the total characters synthesized
Cloud Storage:
• Per-org bytes are tracked via Storage triggers as files are uploaded and deleted
• A daily cron credits 24 GB-hours per day at the current footprint into a monthly accumulator
• Charged at Google Cloud Storage Standard tier ($0.020 / GB-month) plus 15% — so $0.023 / GB-month
• Live estimate of monthly cost shown next to your storage size; the actual posted charge appears after the 1st-of-month reconciliation
How the charges appear:
• On the 1st of each month, journal entries post per service: an expense (raw cost) and a revenue line (chargeback at +15%)
• These are independent of the 1% platform fee — they ride alongside it
• The same +15% rate also applies to Lab Environments (GCP infrastructure passthrough) and the Data Stream module (Anthropic API passthrough)
If your org uses the Accounting module, you'll see these as posted journal entries with descriptive memos like "Wally — usage chargeback 15% markup (2026-04, margin $X.XX)" and "Wally Voice — voice usage chargeback 15% markup (2026-04)".
