**RFIs:**
1. Open the RFI in the RFIs tab
2. Write your response
3. Optional cost / schedule impact estimate
4. Status flips to "answered" on save — the contractor sees the response in real time

**Submittals:**
1. Open the submittal in the Submittals tab
2. Add reviewer notes
3. Mark status: Approved · Approved as Noted · Revise & Resubmit · Rejected
4. The contractor receives the updated status + your notes

Both surfaces are bidirectional — no PDFs to email back and forth, no "current version" drift between your inbox and the contractor's.
