Transferring an animal to another institution

On the **Transfers** tab, choose the animal, enter the receiving institution's organization ID, pick a reason (breeding loan, SSP placement, rescue, etc.), and file it.

Filing hands the receiving institution a **permission**, never a copy — the animal's record and its full history move to them. For breeding loans, leave **ownership moves** off so the original owner keeps ownership while the animal is held elsewhere.
