Spending a benefit wallet — closed-loop, zero fee

Your benefit wallets live on /me/allowance — each shows its available balance, what's spent this period, and which merchant categories it covers.

**How a swipe works.** At a participating Turtini merchant (Retail register or Restaurant check), choose **Benefit** as the payment method and pick the wallet to use. The authorize runs closed-loop inside a single transaction:
1. The merchant's category (MCC) is checked against the wallet's allowed list.
2. The amount is checked against your balance, the per-transaction cap, and the daily limit.
3. If it passes, your balance is decremented and the merchant is paid in full — with no Turtini fee on the benefit money.

If a swipe is declined you'll see exactly why — wrong merchant category, not enough balance, over a limit — and nothing is deducted.

**Fleet wallets** capture the odometer at fuel swipes and stamp it on the vehicle.

**Your history is portable.** The first time a wallet is funded, you receive a Verified-by-Turtini benefit-history credential on the Portable History tab. It's yours — carry it between employers, not locked in one company's system.
