How passengers are kept informed

There is no box for typing a message to passengers. When a timeline event changes something a passenger needs to know -- a delay that moves by your threshold, a gate, boarding, a cancellation, a diversion, a baggage belt -- an update is written from the timeline and sent to every passenger on the flight, in the same words, whatever they paid.

To load passengers: open the flight and paste your manifest as CSV with the header row name, recordLocator, cabin, email, phone, language, consentSms,consentEmail. Phones are in international format (+17575550100). Put yes in the consent columns only for passengers who agreed at booking; blank means no.

What passengers receive:
• A text and/or email, only on the channels they agreed to. Replying STOP to a text stops all texts.
• Their own language, when you give one.
• The whole current picture every time (departure, gate, status), so the newest update is always enough on its own.
• A link to the live flight. With it they can see the flight without an account, and add the booking to their Turtini trips; once they have, they also get in-app notices. Nothing is linked to an account by matching an email.

Quiet hours (21:00-08:00 in the passenger's time zone unless you change them) hold a message until morning, except when the flight leaves within two hours of the end -- a 5 AM gate change for a 6 AM flight is sent at once. If a held update is overtaken by a newer one, only the newer one is sent. Texts and emails go out within about five minutes.
