Post to a flight timeline

Every flight is a timeline of events. What passengers see, what the gate sees, and what operations control sees are all read from it.

To publish a flight: Operations tab -> **New flight**. Enter the flight number, airports, each airport's time zone, scheduled times, and the seats in each cabin.

To post an update:
1. Open the flight on the board.
2. Choose what happened: a new estimated time, a gate, boarding, doors closed, departed, returned to gate, arrived, a baggage belt, cancelled or diverted. A new time and a cancellation need the reason passengers will be told.
3. Post it.

Operational facts (times, gates, status) are always shown to passengers too; they cannot be posted privately, because a departure time only staff can see is exactly the contradiction this prevents. Weather, crew and maintenance notes stay with staff, and maintenance notes stay with operations control and leadership.

"What passengers see" on each flight is exactly what their phones show, and "passengers last told: update N" is the update number every message carried. The tarmac clock runs from doors closed and alerts at the threshold you set on the Certificate tab.

Who can post: owners, admins and editors are operations control and can post anything. Give other members the ground role (gates, boarding, baggage) or the crew role (crew notes, doors closed) on the Certificate tab.
