Adding and revoking access codes
You manage the codes that open your doors on the Codes tab of Access Control (/access).
Adding a code:
1. Open the Codes tab and find the "Add a code" card at the top.
2. Enter the Code itself (for example 4821).
3. Optionally add a Label so you know whose code it is (for example "Front door — Jane").
4. Optionally set a Door / point if this code is only for one entrance.
5. Optionally set a Valid until date so the code expires on its own.
6. Tap "+ Save code". You will see a "Code saved" confirmation, and the code appears in the list below.
Your code number is never stored:
The code is hashed on your own device before it is saved — only a one-way hash ever leaves your browser, never the number itself. That means no one, including Turtini, can read a code back out of the system. Keep your own record of what a code is; the platform can tell you a code is valid, but it can never show you the digits again.
The code list:
Every code shows its label (or id), its door/point if set, whether it is Active or Revoked, and its expiry date if you set one. Codes are sorted by label so the list stays scannable.
Revoking a code:
1. Find the code in the list and tap Revoke.
2. An inline confirmation appears — tap "Yes, revoke" to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
3. The code is revoked immediately and stops opening the door on the next device sync.
Expiring vs revoking:
A Valid until date lets a code retire itself at a set time — handy for a contractor, a short-term guest, or a seasonal worker. Revoking is the manual, immediate version for when access needs to end now.
